It appears that the camping trip was a big success. They were probably extremely tired tonight.
Recap of activities:
Hikes
Trip to the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Store (Hiked there)
Learned about first aid, used sticks to brace a leg and arm, wrap a sprain, and make a sling.
Made homemade slushies
made sit upons
made a girl scout law hanging
banana boats
worked on several badges
made a fire or two
slept in platform tents
had a talent show
spoke with other scouts in the camp
the older ones learned how to properly use their Knife
made a lean to. And did a great job.
They also completed some badges which will be presented at the Nov. Ceremony to welcome new scouts and reup returning scouts. All parents are invited the girls will be planning this ceremony at our next meeting.
FUNDRAISERS
are due to me by the 6th of October. I am fine with if you can't get them to me to email me what your scout has sold.
The girls and leaders were discussing the posibility of a Mother Daughter camping trip. So moms keep that in mind your daughters are wanting you to come out an camp with them.
