Up coming events and meeting

With Spring Break and our last meeting being cancelled due to break I want to give you a run down of what is coming up

April 14th thinking day at Zoar United Methodist Church Zoar rd (across from our home church)
4-6 pm. I have basketball part of the day so I am not sure what time I can get there. Parents you have to accompany your child till a leader gets there. Also, do I have a parent volunteer to set our table up. I have all the stuff here at my house for our presentation. Set up is from 330-4 pm.

April 15th troop meeting from 2-4

May 6 meeting 2-4

May 19th 100 year celebration sing along camp timber ridge. Time pending camp approval. I have signed all the girls up and about five parents. Should be a fun time

May 20th troop meeting

May 23-25 back yard camping ( I have two locations so I will follow up with which one works out) we will do some archery, fire starting, cooking, badge work, and have fun)

Also, I have to send our budget in to counsel shortly, if you have not finished paying off your cookie money please do so ASAP. Thank you.

Military packages we have sent out 9 boxes so far. One is still at my house it is missing the zip code. Something like 9:::::: if this was your solider please send me the zip. Andy Schwartz.

We have sent packages to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, and I believe Oman. I was also given a name of a 19th year old first time deployed solider this week so we sent one to him.

I have a community service opportunity that is dear to my heart that I would like the girls to think about. I have a friend who lives in Athens Ga and she has been given 6 months to live her son is about to be two years old. She will be returning from a cancer hospital in TX soon. I was wondering if the girls would like to do a road trip, do some house cleaning, yard work for a day and I will take them all to lunch in Athens. Something to think about.

Snellville Days Parade

What we need is a nice troop sign... I hope someone is creative. Last year we made a paper sign. I would like a cloth sign for troop 4550, anyone want this task.


We will not be meeting this Sunday. Basically because I will be out of town on Sunday and did not realize this was our meeting day, sorry. So we will meet the third Sunday.
