On June 5th 2011 from 2-4 Troop 4550 will be having their final official ceremony
it will be held at:
Maple Pavilion at Tribble Mill Park for Sunday, June 5 from 2:00-4:00
I will post directions shortly.
The girls will be receiving any final badges. They will present to you what they have done this year, some things we have planned for next year.
They will have a fly up /bridging ceremony for two Browines who will become Juniors for next year.
And finally our cookout. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and all the pinic stuff to go with it.
All family members are invited the girls have planned enough food for everyone.

Last Meeting before the picnic
Meeting at 2pm Sunday
Bring 12 dollars if you want to register for scouts for 2011-2012 school year. If you register now you get a cool patch for your uniform. I am also holding a drawing for the Cookie stuffed animal. (you can see him tomorrow). I have to turn in the forms tomorrow night on my way home from the meeting.
Bring the number of people coming to the year end celebration..
Put your thinking caps on we will be planning the last celebration, handing out parade patches, and the cookie prizes are in so I will give them out as well.

Last meeting before picnic
All scouts may 22 last meeting very important planning for end of year party/ceremony.

Next meeting
May 22, 2011 is our next meeting. It is important for all the girls to attend since it is our last meeting (before the cookout).
June 5th Sunday 2pm-4pm is our cookout. The girls will be deciding what they will cook out and do to celebrate the end of the year in scouts
The park we will be at is

The parade went very well today.
We had members of three other troops come out and march with us. We would love to thank them for marching with us
We have a new member Olivia, she plays softball with Syd, Lauren, and Danielle
Everyone got a chance to carry the flags or banners
We learned about how colorguards need to hold the flags and which one has to be higher and on which side it gets carried 
We opened with the girl scout promise
Before the parade they got to do some dancing to the Shiloh High School Band jamming out
They met some interesting characters

Hi girls just wanted to let you know we do not have Scouts tomorrow. Our next event is May 7th at 9am Snellville days parade. I will have the permission slips at the parade start for your parents to sign.

Meeting updates
April 17 2-4
We have plans to finish up some badge work, Be creative. (parents if you can please get your child a 12 X 12 Scrapebook. I have had prints made of some of their field trips, work, and cool stuff for them to create their own Girl Scout scrapbook. One idea is to go by the girl scout store on Lenora and you can purchase a girl scout scrape set (11 bucks) not to bad or hobby lobby has some girl scout scrapbook things, or you can just put photos and decorate it.
You are also welcome to come to this meeting to assist your child with building their scrapebook.
(I scrap and have several tools and things the girls can use to make their memories)
April 24th meeting is canceled due to it being Easter. (and me not looking at the calendar correctly)
May 7, 2011 Snellville Days Parade (we are marching) We will meet at 9am at KMart on 78 in Snellville. Across from South Gwinnett High School. Must be in full uniform. I will have the flags and for you to hold. After dropping off your scout you can find a nice place to watch the parade in front of the court house. Don't foget your camera.

Important meeting: planning for End of the year celebration, finish up some last minute badges. The three Brownies moving up to Juniors will finish up their bridging information so they can earn their bridge award.

To join for next year will be 12 dollars The 5 dollar Unit fee will be paid by the troop per the girls (they decided to use their cookie money to pay the unit fee for each girl that reenrolls)

END OF THE YEAR CELEBRATION. ALL FAMILY MEMBERS ARE INVITED. YOU WILL GET AN INVITATION THAT YOU WILL NEED TO SEND BACK WITH HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE ATTENDING SO THE GIRLS CAN PREPARE THE RIGHT AMOUNTS OF FOOD.
